Tom & Donna

Tom and Donna Schramm reside in Armada. They have three daughters, Chylie, Cidnee and Carlie, and have been married for over 20 years. Tom has been working on the family farm his whole life. He worked with his father, Kenneth Schramm, until he passed away in 2015. Now, Tom operates the farm with his son-in-law, Mark, and grows a couple thousand acres of soybeans, corn and wheat. Other than farming, Tom enjoys hunting and fishing on his off time. While Tom has spent long hours in the fields, Donna has been a homemaker since the kids were born. She loves crafting of all kinds including sewing and painting. She is often the friendly face you see when walking into the market, managing the cash register.

Chylie & Mark

Chylie and Mark Sweeney reside in Melvin and have been married for two years. Chylie grew up on the farm and was not originally the farm girl, but after participating in 4-H at the Armada Fair and meeting Mark, who had been farming his whole life, that quickly changed. Chylie and Mark raise about 100 sheep and many chickens in Melvin along with working on the farm in Macomb. The sheep keep them busy in the wintertime when they have lambs. Chylie is the face behind Schramm’s Farm Market’s social media and online presence, as well as the one in the fields most of the time. She enjoys being outside and tending to the crops. Mark grew up just outside of New Haven on 26 Mile Road. His family has been farming for generations like the Schramm’s. He grew up raising sheep, turkeys, chickens and geese. Mark participated in 4-H showing his animals and was on the Armada Fair board for 9 years overseeing much of the livestock. He loves raising sheep and now works with his father-in-law on the Schramm Farm.
